From Fantastic Four to Dark Angel, Jessica Alba has never said no to challenging roles, but nothing has stopped her from staying as healthy as possible. “On top of being a powerhouse businesswoman, she still makes her health a priority,” writes Nike global trainer Betina Gozo Shimonek about her client. So, what’s her secret? Let’s find out.
“If you can just do it two or three times a week, a little bit of exercise, whether it’s yoga or going for a walk or cycling class or something…go for it,” said Alba previously on E!. Alba is not a big fan of intense workouts, but they are still hardcore.
Her full-body workout looks something like this:

Alba likes strength training, but she’s not into a bodybuilder’s build. She trains with moderate weights to ensure she burns enough fat to maintain a toned physique. Apart from that, she regularly does hot yoga as well.
“A couple of times a week, I wake up at 5:15 for a hot yoga class. I need a really good alarm and a strong coffee,” she said in the Los Angeles Times back in 2016.
“Four days a week, I try to eat plant-based, and I don’t drink alcohol,” she told Women’s Health in 2020. “Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, all bets are off. That feels like moderation to me.” A plant-based diet helps with weight maintenance because the calorie intake is typically lower.
However, Alba also keeps a close eye on her protein goals as well. “With exercise, I get a little more toned, and I definitely feel stronger, but my diet is much more important if I’m trying to slim down,” she told Shape, per Us Weekly.
She further added, “In that case, I usually don’t eat gluten, dairy, fried foods, or processed foods. I try to stick to a diet that’s low in sugar and carbs, and high in lean protein and vegetables.”
Now in her 40s, the actress doesn’t look a day older than her 30s. Her toned physique and youthful skin at this age are all thanks to her consistent approach to workouts and diet. That said, what are your thoughts on her?
